Shelley Thompson

I’ve been in IT Sales for 18 years, starting as an Account Manager at Misco and moving to PCS after 5 years.  I spent 8 years as an Account Manager at PCS and enjoyed the freedom to be able to manage my account base myself and learnt more about projects and solutions as I went along.  I then became a Sales Supervisor where I managed a small team of around 6 and still ran my accounts, busy times.  2 years ago I moved into the UK Sales Manager role, where I work with a team of 20 account managers.  Although a very different role to Account Management, I’m still involved with the sales cycle and enjoy most working with Account Managers in different areas to get them to where they want to be.

My beautiful children and juggling being a full time working Mum with them.  Time is precious and I have a tight ship to run at home as well as work.  The support of PCS has given me the flexibility to be able to do what I need to do as a Mum and still carry out my role as a manager.

After the children and work, there isn’t a lot of time left.  Most of my weekends are spent as family time.
My hobby is relaxing with a glass of wine, to the sound of a quiet house once the children are asleep.  Ahhh bliss.
